Coastal Modern, Redefined
By Xact Construction Team
Building on the ocean is an exercise in contradiction. You want floor-to-ceiling glass, but hurricane codes demand impact resistance. You want warm wood tones, but salt air destroys traditional timber. You want indoor-outdoor flow, but storm surge preparedness requires elevation.
Our Highland Beach project embraced every one of these tensions — and resolved them with technology, material science, and unapologetic design ambition.
The structure uses a hybrid approach: Renco MCFR composite blocks for the primary shell, providing Category 5 hurricane resistance, with traditional luxury finishes throughout the interior. The result is a home that meets the most demanding structural codes in America while feeling like a five-star resort.
Floor-to-ceiling impact glass wraps three sides of the living level, framing unobstructed Atlantic views. The pool deck integrates with the living room through a 24-foot retractable glass wall system. And every piece of exterior millwork is marine-grade aluminum clad in powder-coated finishes that will look pristine for decades.
